I represent major financial institutions and corporations, handling a broad range of finance-related transactions, including fixed income-related matters, loans and leverage financing, debt capital markets and convertible bonds, securitizations and other structured finance matters, derivatives, debt and equity structured products, distressed debt, restructurings and regulatory work. I also advise clients on general corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, insurance and REIT transactions. The transactions on which I have advised have included acquisition financings, leveraged financings, bridge loans, working capital facilities and various other types of financings, the issuance of fixed and floating rate bonds, subordinated bonds (for regulatory capital purposes) and convertible and exchangeable bonds, loan subparticipations, repackagings, and many types of complex derivative and structured finance transactions.I also have advised many banks and other financial institutions on complex derivative and structured finance matters, including loan subparticipations and securitized note issue repackaging transactions; structured loans to Korean entities; bids in nonperforming loan auctions in Hong Kong, Korea, The Philippines and Thailand; securitization swaps in respect to Korean securitization transactions; total return swaps, gold swaps, super-senior swaps, and Ascot swaps; and other complex structured derivative transactions.I formerly was the head of the Asian structured finance practice and managing partner of the Hong Kong office of another major international law firm.
