The Widows Sons is a Charitable Organisation formed by Motorcycling Freemasons. With Charitable work, volunteering, rideouts (like Easter Egg and Toy Runs), it builds on the tenets of the Craft, and the charitable contributions founded by Freemasons in general. I was delighted to be part of the team that founded the West Midlands Chapter (& it's associated non-masonic support group "The Bad Pennies WMC"), and to be invited to act as the Founding Secretary - working with the Chapter President we devised bylaws, accountancy procedures, membership packs, created Facebook and Web Pages (http://widowssons-wmids.co.uk/) formed liaison with National Chapter - and forged ties with existing Motorcycle Clubs, ensuring no issues would be encountered with encumbent MC's. Now, as the Chapter President I'm hoping to strengthen our membership, we have had 100% growth over last year, better than the 68% UK average, showing the popularity of Motorcycling amongst Freemasons, and the fraternal bonds both organisations foster.
