The Sheriff’s All Volunteer Extended Services (SAVES) program is designed to use volunteers to supplement and augment service levels in departments and field units of the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office. SAVES provides services within individual departments and field units that may not be available due to skill, time, or resource constraint. Services provided may include general clerical work, project work, and neighborhood patrols, among many others, in an effort to allow regular officers more field time.

Managed UMTS transport backhaul delivery, T1, DS3 and microwave, for a major wireless carrier in the San Francisco market, controlling project schedule, order, delivery and testing.Partnered with customer’s Construction and Engineering (C&E) team to resolve backhaul delivery issues which included landlord disputes, safety concerns, and site construction.

Served as project manager and single point of contact between customers, Nortel engineering, and Nortel installation; resolved software, equipment, schedule, and delivery issues.Created customer documentation, hardware specifications, software orders, installation instructions and sales quotations.Provided technical assistance to sales and customer, analyzed orders for up-sell opportunities; increased order revenue by $500,000.Engineered the pre-release Version 3 Multimedia Communication System for a major customer which allowed a rapid test and deployment of cutting edge multimedia services to achieve a competitive advantage.

Implemented CDMA wireless system, including switch, base stations, power, and grounding in the San Francisco Bay area.Teamed with vendor and installation teams to install Digital Cross Connect Bays, an Asynchronous Transfer Mode Switch, and a Digital Automated Cross Connect System.Developed project requirements, managed RFQ process, and supervised vendor build for a one-off Cell Site on Light Truck; completed project on time and within budget.Represented Sprint PCS on statewide industry committee for California Code Administration.

Teamed with Northern Telecom Installation Director and Pacific Bell managers to transfer 5 analog offices and subtending remotes to DMS-100 digital service.

Managed technical support for the network engineering department; provided guidance on the use of software programs required to control budget, equipment forecast, and schedule.Managed user training and program code maintenance for Pacific Bell Engineering CAPEX and switching capacity forecast databases.Developed training aids and user documentation; trained more than 200 engineers in 3 years.
