I am a good honours graduate in Business and Financial Economics with an element of Business German. Upon graduation I worked for 9 years in retail management as an Administration Manager. I led a small team of 10 colleagues. My responsibilities and accountabilities included: pricing and advertising, payroll, cash office and appraisals. I worked in our own mortgage business for 2 years, where I had responsibility in areas such as payroll, HR, accounts and administration of the day to day running of the business. I embarked upon a career change in 2010 and completed a PGCE in Advanced Early Years in 2011. I am now in my 12th year of teaching and am currently employed as a Year 1 class teacher at an international school in Qatar. Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic I was also a distance learning tutor. I have taught in various schools within the UK, primarily in Key Stage 1.I have many transferable skills which I have built up over a number of years in previous roles, for example, time management, leadership, communication and delegation, resilience, flexibility, organisation and planning. I have embraced a substantial amount of change within my life both professionally and personally and am therefore a resilient and adaptable individual. With my wealth of experience in teaching and my skill set, I am looking for a new challenge within the Education sector internationally.
