The Master of Business for Veterans (MBV) degree is a fully accredited graduate degree awarded by USC Marshall School of Business that was created specifically for military veterans, active duty and reserve personnel. The program is designed to leverage the management and leadership experience already gained during military service. The MBV provides formal business knowledge and develops critical thinking skills. Participants will discover the transferability of military experience and skill sets to the business environment, as well as the ability to launch, manage and grow a business.This 10 month program is completed in just two semesters and provides an understanding of all business disciplines. The program incorporates a thematic curriculum that focuses on the way business functions relate to each other on a daily basis versus teaching the individual subjects as unrelated functional entities. Classroom sessions involve student participation in an interactive learning environment, as well as lectures, projects and course work.

VetNet operates on several levels:1.Veteran services: The training services for Veterans, available through the Working Wardrobes Career Success Network, include access to our job placement services. Our focus is on the transitioning Veteran or those at risk of becoming homeless as well as the reintegrating or recovering Veteran.2.Corporate Education: We share the best practices available for Veteran recruiting, hiring and retention. Our goal is to provide the HR executive with a working knowledge of the Veteran Talent Pool. Aside from advanced life skills, they bring; leadership, loyalty, mission dedication, organizational skills and a work ethic typically far exceeding their civilian peersWhy: The men and women who serve in our military have literally written a blank check to this country, payable with their lives. We have programs that provide for a better transition to the civilian workforce and ensure what they have been fighting for now serves them well.Even though our economy continues to sputter, there are jobs available and we must do our utmost to educate and train our Veterans to find jobs and be successful while encouraging potential employers to offer them opportunities.Where: The services for our Veterans are available in the Costa Mesa Career Success Network. Staff and dedicated volunteers are trained in specific program enhancements to work effectively with the Veteran population. Additional job training models will become available as partners come on line.How: Donor support: A membership organization to provide information and education to individual and corporate donors. These exciting events feature military leaders as speakers, and opportunities to meet Veterans, including those wounded while serving their country.When: Our service package has been in action since late 2012.

At that time the accounting profession was in its infancy, with fewer than 2,200 practicing CPAs in the United States. Shortly thereafter in 1913, the 16th Amendment to the United States Constitution was ratified, followed by the Revenue Act of 1913 with new impositions of U.S. Federal income tax enacted by Congress in that year. M. L. Seidman saw the potential of the accountant's role to provide tax services to individuals.
