Committee Member responsibilities:Work with other committee members to coordinate events, including digital events on behalf of the NE RMN including liaising with speakers.To promote membership and benefits of the NE CILIP member Network and CILIP within the library and information profession.Participate in discussions inside and outside of meetings (for example through email).Administrative tasks as part of a small team, for example, assisting with social media, committee communications, web pages or facilitating committee activities.Write content for our journal NE Links, our newsletter, blogs, website or social media.It is anticipated that you will attend six committee meetings per year usually in the North East although meetings currently take place virtually.Role specific responsibilities:Liaise with incoming, current and recently graduate LIS students in the North EastAdvertise the benefits of CILIP membership to this audienceEncourage students and new professionals to engage with the NE RMN and get involved in our activities and events.

Position representing students enrolled on MSc Library Management course. Students are distance learners.

Deliver best practice compliance service by providing high value advice, guidance and coaching to stakeholders. Maintain the Customers management system and administer Red Binders and Compliance processes.

Supported the definition and delivery of Quality Assurance approach across Customer Operations including maintenance of the Quality Management System, Quality Manual and checking the performance of the end-to-end Quality Assurance approach. Assessing the quality of the checking output and the delivery of feedback and actions to improve advisor performance. Perform analysis of Quality Assurance outcomes to determine root causes and make recommendations to senior management to improve operations.

Deliver training interventions to meet identified learning and development needs and ensure that Customer Operations employees have the right skills to meet current and future business needs.

General call handling and complaint management with internal and external customers. To promote accuracy and positive image, showcasing good customer service, communication and ability to meet targets. Correcting account and portfolio data to correspond to industry data, carry out necessary investigations and updates where required.

Developing student’s behavioral and social attitude. Monitoring student’s approach to work. Developing learning skills, motivation and confidence. Support the Lecturer and Curriculum Support Officer in delivery

Tutor Basic Skills Literacy and Numeracy from Entry Level 1 to Level 2. Classroom based sessions, developing lesson plans to encompass multiple ability levels. Conducted one-to-one support sessions with agreed development plans and support mechanisms, making Leaner recommendations to key Stakeholder to support development.

Voluntary Tutor position teaching Basic Skills Literacy and Numeracy of Entry Level 1 and Level 2. Conducted induction interviews and registrations of new candidates, administered assessment and supporting Learning Support Officer develop individual tuition plans and support needs.

Voluntary position Teaching Entry and Level 1 – 3 English for Speakers of Other Languages in classroom and IT based training. Supported lead Tutor in developing coaching plans and supporting Learners on a one-to-one basis.
