Currently working on:- An interactive story game.- A counselling support app.- A web and mobile app framework, built using Ionic, Vue, PixiJS, and my own proprietary code.

- Consulted with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, recommending, and implementing, tools to increase productivity and reduce risk.- Transitioned "delivery service area" code for nation-wide system,  from map polygons to postal code sets.- Expanded "delivery availability" to allow for custom days of service, as well as client-specific days of service, internationally.- Led and mentored a team of developers, along with designing and ticketing features, from concept to launch.

'Traction Guest' is an enterprise-level visitor management system; it uses cloud-based technologies to replace pen-and-paper guestbook systems.My contributions were mainly as a back-end developer. That said, I was significantly involved in the architecture/design and ticketing process, to make sure we delivered.- Played an instrumental role in the design and development of ZeroTouch: fully contactless access for employees and visitors. This feature had to be delivered with an aggressive timeline, given the very real threat that COVID19 presented. We pivoted, and made it happen with QR codes and an online "registration portal" to replace the usual iPad experience.- Acted as the primary technical contact for the Appointments feature. I wrote a lot of the back-end code for this, but also co-ordinated Jira tickets with other developers and non-technical employees. I also provided documentation, so that 3rd-party developers would have what they needed to automate their own processes.- Built the Audit Logs feature for enterprise-level API accessibility. This feature is a security requirement for many large companies; it provides traceability for all actions taken on the system. Further, the API interface was designed to interact well with common enterprise-level security/logging implementations.

'Dr. Bill' allows physicians in British Columbia, Ontario, and Alberta to submit and be paid for provincial health insurance claims. My contributions have been as a full-stack web developer, taking features from concept to completion.- Designed and built the entire Alberta billing system: back-end and front-end. The back-end required a claims submission engine, and had to satisfy rigorous government conformance testing requirements. The front-end required an extensive form, powered by object-oriented JavaScript (a modern front-end framework was not available).- Migrated user account data from supporting only one billing profile to supporting many. This was a low-level change that interacted with most existing systems. Results have been very stable.- Integrated large datasets into the Dr. Bill codebase, specifically for diagnosis codes and fee-for-service codes in British Columbia, Ontario, and Alberta. Original datasets were medically technical in nature. Datasets were improved to optimize search speed and accuracy.

- Responsible for full-stack feature development for the "Chime" project.- Provided feature consultation for ongoing development, based on non-developer (stakeholder) requests and feedback.- Recommended and wrote full test suite for app.

Guiding students enrolled in the full-time web-intensive development bootcamp program. My job is to provide one-on-one support and feedback as students learn the basics of Ruby, Rails, databases, Sinatra, and JavaScript. I answer questions as students work through the exercises, go over concepts as a tutor, and review code to give feedback.

Added features to front-facing Learning Management web app. Notable features included:- Asynchronous course builder using jQuery.- Transitioned Rails app to use ActiveResource and access API data.- Contributed to analytics suite. Built API Ruby on Rails web app to build and create smartphone simulation data (JSON). Notable features included:- Smartphone simulation builder using jQuery, which included clickable hotspot mapping, screen linking, and hardware device button mapping (e.g. the 'back' button on a phone).- Import/export functionality for custom data type.- CORS support in Ruby on Rails (to integrate with Angular app).

Edited medical device market research reports for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and consistency. Tracked anywhere from 8 to 12 market research projects simultaneously. Led workshops to teach writing and formatting best practices. Redesigned product organization system of more than 500 reports to be clearer and more efficient. Implemented version control systems. Spearheaded and supervised office-wide software upgrade. Designed report templates from the ground up. Assisted in managing a team of researchers.

Consulted with clients regarding options and recommendations. Interviewed product experts to identify key selling points and features. Created goal-driven, branded website content after interviews. Developed and implemented SEO and online marketing campaigns.
