About Christine Steele
Hi, hello! I took the steering wheel of Summer 2021 into my hands, drove on the road of risk and bet on myself. One thing I knew for sure: failure was not an option! Don't get me wrong, I had a goal and a plan of how I was going to achieve my goal. I simply did not have a plan B. Plan A was the only option. We perform better when there is no safety net. During my tenure with Nordstrom, my leadership skills earned me a plethora of accolades. The most memorable moment of recognition was during the 2017 Quarter 1 Recognition Rally. The Store Manager recognized 3 Sales Managers for their performance with the last called Manager being Department Manager of the Quarter. My name was called last and I started clapping with the rest of the crowd as though the person being called upon was not me! I was tapped by neighbor and reminded that this was my name being called and while I humbly accepted this recognition, it was an honor to be recognized in front of Blake Nordstrom himself! 8 years of success with Nordstrom, along with putting in work towards my health at the Orange Theory, taught me I can achieve whatever it is I set my mind to. I wanted to take my leadership skills learned with Nordstrom, along with my passion for health and fitness, and become a coach at Orange Theory. That was my goal and I was willing to bet on myself. Summer 2021 equated to hours of studying for the Personal Training certification. Upon passing the exam and gaining the support of the Head Coaches, I went through Orange Theory Certification. The final day of Orange Theory Certification was the audition and everything I bet on came right down to that day. It was the moment of hearing, "Christine, welcome to the team!" that I proved to myself with faith and work, we can achieve a goal. Coaching people who strive to be 0.1 better today than yesterday brings much joy. I thrive being in an environment where people aim to be mentally and physically stronger. As a member of Orange Theory, it made an impact on my life that taught me we are stronger than we believe, both inside and outside of the gym. It taught me to take risks in life because with faith and work, we can achieve what we desire. It instilled the importance of self-discipline. Taking care of ourselves and our health allows us to live out our lives fulfilling our purpose.
