While not your traditional space operator or space acquisition job, this one presents opportunities to shape the Department of The Air Force’s space strategy, plans and posture with respect to international affairs. SAF/IA directly engages with OSD Space Policy, multiple Combatant Commands, NATO, and the Joint Staff as we shape, direct, and craft international strategy on behalf of the Space Force and the Department of the Air Force. The military deputy is the lead for synchronization & operational administration of a 22-member Division. Manages product processes and taskers. Supports space strategy development, negotiations, as well as providing oversight to international armament cooperative agreements with global allies and partners. DAF lead for all international space armaments cooperative agreements enabling USSF/USAF priorities consistent with OSD guidance. Prepares SecAF, CSAF, CSO, and DAF senior leaders with data-driven regional analyses and strategic advice to engage with the U.S. Department of State (DoS), foreign distinguished visitors and key space leaders. Represents and advises OSD, DAF, DoS, and U.S. Embassies concerning foreign policy and international space cooperation with allies and Partners. Oversees USSF Foreign Military Sales (FMS) activities. Directs and manages USSF position on export of space assets. In this position I will strengthen my understanding of international affairs, foreign military sales, international armaments cooperation, and other activities the US uses to strengthen and deepen international partnerships.

Selectively-manned position: Confidential advisor to 4-Star CSO & 4-Star VCSO on management of Space Force Guardians across multiple career fields to meet current/future space requirements. Influences decisions on assignments, retirements, professional education, and development opportunities. Liaison with GOs, SESs, executive-level officers and senior managers to optimally match O-6 & O-6 selects to Space Force needs. Develops/implements force management policies, long-range plans/analysis; leads service-level command selection process and negotiates fills with HAF and other service leads, OSD and SAF. Coordinates annual GO evaluations and Brig Gen PRFs to meet promotion boards. Coordinates directly with JCS, OSD, State Dept & White House on GO matters on behalf of the Space Force. Ensures compliance with laws/regulations regarding GO assignments.

The mission of USSTRATCOM is to deter strategic attack and employ forces, as directed, to guarantee the security of our Nation and our Allies. The command's assigned responsibilities include strategic deterrence; nuclear operations; space operations; joint electronic spectrum operations; global strike; missile defense; and analysis and targeting. USSTRATCOM's forces and capabilities underpin and enable all other Joint Force operations.USSTRATCOM combines the synergy of the U.S. legacy nuclear command and control mission with responsibility for space operations, global strike, and global missile defense. This dynamic command gives national leadership a unified resource for greater understanding of specific threats around the world and the means to respond to those threats rapidly.

OSL is a “gateway to space,” launching satellites into orbit. In this capacity, OSL is a launch representative with industry, the Air Force, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. OSL is the focal point for all aspects of a launch, such as launch vehicle hardware, launch services integration, mission assurance, operations, transportation, and mission safety.

Principal organization responsible for developing & assessing Air Force doctrine and advocating air power doctrine in Joint & multinational arenas. AF lead for tactical, operational & strategic lessons learned. Ensures lessons learned and doctrinal concepts are integrated into AFTTPs, wargames & education. Educates warfighters through resident & distance learning courses. Executes operational and strategic wargames for the AF, Air University & partner nations.

The mission of the United States Air Forces in Europe - Air Forces Africa is to be the air component for U.S. European Command and U.S. African Command, directing air operations in a theater spanning three continents, covering more than 15,000,000 square miles (39,000,000 km2), containing 104 independent states, and possessing more than one-fifth of the world's population and more than a quarter of the world's gross domestic product.[2]As part of this mission, USAFE-AFAFRICA trains and equips U.S. Air Force units pledged to NATO, maintaining combat-ready wings based from Great Britain to Turkey. USAFE-AFAFRICA plans, conducts, controls, coordinates and supports air and space operations in Europe, parts of Asia and Africa to achieve U.S. national and NATO objectives based on taskings by the USEUCOM and USAFRICOM commanders.

Conducts mission planning, briefings, tests, simulations, rehearsals and all associated prelaunch operations. Responsible for crew proficiency and developing/administering initial, upgrade and recurring training for 48 operators. Manages training materials and documentation verifing it's compliance with MAJCOM/NAF guidance and directives.

Conducts mission planning, briefings, tests, simulations, rehearsals and all associated prelaunch operations. Responsible for crew proficiency and developing/administering initial, upgrade and recurring training for 36 operators. Manages training materials and documentation verifing it's compliance with MAJCOM/NAF guidance and directives.

Provides air traffic control & airfield management services in support of operations at three airfields. Provides spacelift expertise for training policy formulation, weapons & tactics programs, intelligence, information operations contingency response and warfighter education to enhance assured access to space by supporting launch, range & expeditionary operations. Supports 4,700 USAF and contractor personnel and $6 billion in facilities.

Provides critical, real-time missle warning and space situational awareness to the President, SECDEF, JCS, NORAD, and unified command. Operates a $500 million phased-array radar that continuously provides warning of sea-launched and ballistic missile attacks against North America. Detects, tracks, and identifies earth-orbiting objects in support of USSTRATCOM's space control mission.

Enrolled in Space University.

To recruit, educate, train, motivate, select and commission officer candidates through a comprehensive college program. To provide academic instruction om fundamental Air Force doctrine, practical leadership experience, and extensive field training emphasizing physical fitness and officership to prepare future officers for active duty. AFROTC is selectively manned.
