-Started the season by getting the trails of Baxter State Park up to peak visitor season standards-The second and larger half of my summer I was part of a four-person crew building rock staircases for a newly cut re-route of Dudley trail, historically the most popular trail used to summit the highest peak in the state (Mt. Katahdin) after a landslide made the previous trail impassable. Tools used daily included shovels, gas-powered rock drill, human-powered grip hoist, rock bar, and wedge and feathers to split rocks from the drilled holes
