This role involved project managing and supporting clinical redesign activities throughout the hospital as well as providing decision support to various clinical departments. I facilitated training to clinicians and service managers throughout the organisation in project management and Lean Principles. In addition I provided coaching and support to staff involved in redesign projects. The primary project that I was responsible for managing in this role was the Emergency Department NEAT project. This project was successful in implementing solutions that improved the NEAT performance of the ED. As part of this role I was the St Vincents Hospital Network Redesign Lead for the NSW Health Statewide Redesign Leaders Network. This group met regularly for training and knowledge sharing purposes.

As a consultant with KPMG’s National Health and Human Services Practice I provided advisory services to federal, state and local government departments and agencies involved in the funding and/or direct provision of programs and services to the community. I worked on a range of projects in health, aged care & dementia and community services. These projects included health program review and evaluation, clinical redesign, workforce planning and change management. In this role I developed extensive experience in the application of Lean principles, project management, stakeholder consultation, process analysis, workshop facilitation, literature reviews and report writing.

I worked as an Occupational Therapist in the UK for three years for the NHS and local government agencies. These roles involved:- Assessment of the needs of disabled or chronically ill people and their carers in the home and prescribing interventions to achieve maximum safety and independence. - Working with medical or surgical patients in an Intermediate Care Team to facilitate early and safe discharge from or prevent admission to hospital.- Neurological Rehabilitation in an inpatient facility for clients who had experienced a stroke or head / spinal injury.
