I finished my masters thesis in August 2022. My research involved the characterization of residue from an Egyptian Old Kingdom mummy using GC-MS, DART-MS, ATR-FTIR, and SPME. Using a graduate fellowship, I expanded the project to look at several other residues from ancient Egyptian mummies spanning from the Third Intermediate period to the Ptolemaic period.I had the opportunity to work in a research and development role at Guardian Glass. My work involved determining the operational parameters associated with anti-corrosion glass coatings.I am currently employed at Evonik and I spend the majority of my time determining the trace metal content in TEOS (tetraethyl orthosilicate) based materials by ICP-MS. I also develop, optimize, and troubleshoot quality control processes and provide customers with in-depth statistical process control data.
