Published two books: Tending Critters in the Ridges, available on Amazon.com. This is a humorous account of veterinary practice in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The second book, Sir Hops-a-Lot is a children's book that shares the uplifting story of a little dog who proves he can do just about anything he sets out to do, even after a tragic accident touches his life.

Established veterinary practice in Brevard in 1977. Operated practice until 2005 when I sold the practice to and joined with Brevard Animal Hospital.

Duties included medicine and surgery for both large and small animals. Other duties included care for injured and sick animals at the zoo located at Charles Town Landing and the veterinary care for the Federal Red Wolf Relocation Project located at Bulls Island north of Charleston.

Responsibilities included updating tower to ground operational communication system with state of the art "real time" information. At that time Eastern Air Lines at Atlanta had the most extensive airline operation in the free world (most landings and departures). Designed the airline's baggage-handling system, developed procedures for overnight conversion of passenger aircraft to cargo configuration, developed first computer program to project over time manpower requirements, developed and implemented program to decrease "out-of-service" time for aircraft servicing vehicles, coordinated requirements and designed physical requirements to operate the new "bonded" fuel station to fuel international flights.

Coordinated industrial engineering studies in various base operations and participated on team that established Air Force manpower requirements in Japan, Philippines, Taiwan, Viet Nam and Thailand.
