Kinross Tasiast - Mauritania

Tasiast Airfield upgrade, located in the Western Sahara Desert of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Construction of a New Runway, Taxiway, & Apron. Project completed within scheduled timeframe and came in under budget. Also responsible for a New Waste Management Facility.

Plant Site (DMSA) responnsible for all conrete works in the Process Plant & New Refinery. Also assisted with the coordination of structural & misc. steel erection including architectural installatìons & floor coatinig for a new Nickel / Cobalt Mining Facility iin Madagascar.

Mine Site (AMSA) Ambatovy Project. Was responsible for all field engineering issues during early phase of project. Clearing, grubbing, building of roads & dams for a new Nickel / Cobalt Mining Facility in Madagascar.

Responsible for receipt, inventory & disbursement of material & equipment for the Refurbishment of two (2) Electrostatic Precipitators during back to back power plant outages in Georgia & Florida.

Hurricane Katrina Aftermath in Southern Mississippi. Responsible for Safety Indoctrination of all subcontractor personnel, and implementation of Certified Payroll for each subcontractor and submittal to USACE.

Supervised night shift activities during two (2) back to back outages for modernization of Caster #7 & #8 at U.S. Steel Serbia d.o.o. Steel Shop located near Smederevo, Serbia.

Hurricane Charley, Jeanne, & Frances aftermath in Southern Florida. "Operation Blue Roof" Assisted with management of subcontractors. Safety Indoctrination of all subcontractors, and implementation, acceptance, and turnover of subcontractor Certified Payrolls to USACOE.

PRB Conversion Project @ Plant Scherer in Juliette, Georgia. Refurbishment of existing Electrostatic Precipitators, and major demolition of existing ductwork along with fabrication / installation of new ductwork was required for changing the gas path. Also Three Combined Cycle power generating facilities in Alabama, Florida, & Georgia.

Responsible for all field engineering issues was also Structural Superintendent over ironworkers on night shift during the last six (6) months of project at the IPSCO Steel Flat Products Steel Mill Facility in Axis, Alabama.

Project Management Assignment - Responsible for resolution of field engineering problems and feedback of requested information to support design activities in Jakarta and main office in Pittsburgh, PA USA. Also acted as on-site Project Manager for first year of project during piling installation, port modifications, utility relocationns, clearing /.

Was assigned as night shift supervisor during a scheduled outage for the Demolition / Rebuild of a Nickel Smelting Electric Furnace located in Thompson, Manitoba, Canada

Environmental project for US Army Corps of Engineers at the Fort Bragg Military Reservation, Fort Bragg, NC. New roads, drainage structures, paved swales and landscape activities for several Erosion Control Projects. Also performed the duties of Site Manager / Superintendent & Safety Engineer during the Demolition / Renovation of an existing engine repair.

Numerous Construction Management assignments scattered across the United Stated & Canada. Power Generation: Nuclear, Fossil Fuel, Geothermal, and Trash Burner. Steel Making Facilities: Degassers & Single Strand Casters. Aluminum Mini Mill, and a Munitions Plant for the Department of Energy.
