I am a fun of outdoors and traveling.As research scientist in the field of antimicrobial biomaterials, I have acquired experience in grant writing, student´s supervision, project management including the design, implementation, troubleshooting and analysis of experimental data. I am expert in both oral and written communication including outreach activities. • I have participated and lead work in projects involving international and national companies, BestHealth4U (Portugal), Bioceramed (Portugal), Chain Antimicrobials Ltd (Finland), Svenska Cellulosa AB (SCA) (Sweden) and BASF (Germany). • I have extensive experience in cross-functional project management as evidenced by leading 2 projects and tasks in 6 project grants, with results in 20 publications, 20+ communications/presentations. • I have developed skills on networking, organization, collaboration and communication with capacity to engage experts and non-experts, and regular participation on outreach activities and supervision/mentoring by training 17 researchers/young researchers. • Expert in antimicrobial/antibiofilm compounds/assays, molecular microbiology, polymeric delivery systems and surface modification.• I coordinated the project “Greening up Life Sciences Laboratories” from EUGLOH “European University Alliance for Global Health”.
