Disputes Resolution Advisor - Claims Litigator And Quantum Expert
CurrentI advocate and advise large multi-national contractors and subcontractors, on implementing on-site Dispute Avoidance Services on their projects so as to mitigate project delays and project margin.I have represented Owners, Contractors and Subcontractors in many disputes and been successful in settling most issues pretrial. Over the past decade, I have (1) assisted a GC on-site as its Contract Manager on a hydroelectric project; (2) assisted an EPC on three projects, to mitigate its delays and margin erosion; (3) quantified a Client's losses incurred on three insurable loss events on a power plant built in Pakistan; (4) have converted a contractor's T4D to a T4C on both USAF and USN projects and submitted Termination Proposals in response; (5) quantified cost overruns on an environmental remediation matter; and (6) defended numerous conveyor belt manufacturers in the automotive and airline industry. I have prepared and defended change orders for one of the US's major BHS manufacturers. I have authored a Request for Equitable Adjustment (REA) on a Baggage Handling System at an airport in NE, USA. Additionally, I was tasked with developing the second-tier Mechanical Subcontractor's claim in tandem with the GC's BHS Subcontractor's claim. Both cases were successfully settled.I have assisted many clients to improve their projects' bottom-line and mitigate their exposure to LDs. I have reviewed, proposed and recommended contract term changes to mitigate downstream risks. During project execution, I have supported PMs in the field in a Commercial Manager capacity. I was tasked with assisting them in avoiding disputes as they arose and to have site personnel pull together the key supporting documentation to these issues, so Management had an accurate perspective of the issues and the project's true progress and financial status. In the past decade I have mitigated clients' project margin erosion by approximately $122MM at a cost of $4.8MM.
