Additionally, I collaborated with the team's researcher to prepare a literature review and preliminary research design to study the psychological benefits of this sacred, "restorative" landscape, as required by the funder. Completing a successful proposal, the team was awarded $1M grant and the landscape was completed in 2016. -

Our research team was awarded $25,000 to conduct one-on-one and focus group interviews with homeowners and public housing residents; a street-level inventory of pollution sources; and online research about health issues related to local pollutants. Project deliverables included a community meeting that I facilitated at the public housing complex and preparation of an easy-to-read, illustrated Guide empowering residents to address the environmental justice issues in their neighborhood.
