- Was given the responsibility of Managing the Ground Ordnance Supervisors course. This course was responsible for training all of the Marine Corps senior staff enlisted personnel in the ordnance community. - As I excelled at course manager I was given the additional responsibility of being the Academic Coordinator for all 12 of the formal Marine Corps military occupational specialty schools that were overseen by my detachment. - As the Course Manager I provided administrative input and created curriculums based on the established performance requirements, Marine Corps wide ordnance maintenance trends and the established time lines.- As the Academic Coordinator I regularly updated and maintained training schedules utilizing both local and web based systems for 12 formal schools.- Reviewed the service record books of all incoming student personnel and ensured that all prerequisites were met in accordance with the Marine Corps Order. I they weren’t it was my responsibility to coordinate with Headquarters Marine Corps in order to reclassify students to a new occupational specialty and oversee the arrangement of their transfers. - After proving that I could handle the increased work load I volunteered and was given the job of Substance Abuse Control Officer (SACO). As the SACO I was responsible for the conduct of a 100% urinalysis on over 400 personnel at a time. I also taught classes on the dangers of drug use and provided counseling on the subject. If a Marine tested positive I liaised with a Military doctor to verify if the substance used was or was not prescribed to the individual in question and provided those results to the Commanding Officer.
