Development of surfactact artificial chaperones for protein refolding. Modeling and measurement of interactions of protein chaperone activity. Analysis of synthetic polymers as protein mimics. Interpretation and analysis of AFM image and optical tweezers data (R, Python, Git). Finite element modeling of electric shock injury (Bash, HPC). Published one paper and one review chapter. Thesis title: Fundamental interactions driving the coil-to-globule transition and LCST behavior of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) in water.Synthesis and characterization of stimuli-responsive polymers. Online characterization of molecular weight, radius of gyration, copolymer composition, lower critical solution temperature. Light scattering (both static and dynamic) UV-Vis, differential refractometry, viscometry. Wrote and updated analysis and modeling software (Python, C, PowerBasic). Administered a Linux machine with Git repositories of software and dissertation sources. Taught physics lab sections at all levels of both majors and non-majors.

Research lab in the Department of Radiation Oncology. EPR imaging of murine fibrosarcoma tumors. Maintenance, improvement, and calibration of instrumentation. Calibrated EPR magnets and updated analysis code in Matlab. Prepared mice and artificial samples for electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) imaging.Skills used: Matlab, cell culture.
