Currently have teams serving the December 2021 Tornadoes in Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri and Arkansas, as well as Eastern Kentucky Floods. Provide supervision, leadership, direction and inspection of the officers assigned to the shift. Enforce department rules and regulations and ensure compliance with policy and procedure. Assist subordinates in their duties while also responding to calls for service and handling incidents as they arise. Assist the Aviation Unit commander in oversight of the Aviation Unit and also serve as a Part 107 licensed pilot. During the creation of the unit, led the department in achieving a Certificate of Authorization from the Federal Aviation Administration. Additionally serve as a Crime Scene Technician with the department’s crime scene unit, providing leadership in the absence of the unit supervisor. Focused on proactive patrols of both commercial and residential areas along with regular traffic enforcement. Regularly investigated cases fully and filed criminal complaints routinely for cases investigated instead of forwarding to detective section.
