ISI is a small start up company that has developed a breakthrough technology in water heating. ISI's patented Direct Resistance technology uses the natural resistance of water to heat itself using a fraction of the electricity of traditional water heaters. As one of 3 employees and the Operations Director, I am responsible schedule management, procurement, product exposure, industry trends, marketing, branding, financial management and accounting as well as process design and procedural documentation. • In marketing, industry trends, product exposure and branding I work both with internal and external contacts to gain an understanding of the market needs as well as the industry techniques needed to break into the market. • In procurement and schedule management, I work with a cross functional team of outsourced and internal engineers to coordinate develop and design a complete bill of material with a proper schedule. Developing milestones, critical parts and managing the expenditures associated with the project. I have developed a sourcing strategy for commitment of work, analyzing cost imperatives and assessing impact mitigation. Bringing a product out of prototype phase has a great deal of issue resolution in that you must develop a “manufacturable” design rather than simply a functional design. I am working with both our engineers and the suppliers to reach a cost competitive, “manufacturable”. • The cross-functional responsibilities involved in bringing a prototype concept to production product involve an intense amount of program management. The development and integration of the new product as compared to the plans, strategies for manufacturing and processes to meet the business goals of our investors lend to a dynamic work environment. Working directly with the CEO to develop both short term and long-term goals, I am looking at both the immediate impact on a decision and the long range business plans as well as developing risk mitigation plans.

Miss Davila pioneered the development of a new office for ORBIS in San Diego both in Business Development (Sales/Marketing) and Operations. As a BD Manager she has an in-depth understanding of ORBIS programs, products and technologies. Carolina had the responsibility of independently developing the company’s presence, establishing a name, creating connections with potential clients, customers as well as teammates. Miss Davila is part of the BD Review Board working with the team of managers to establish and maintain the integrity of our Pipeline. Carolina Davila works closely with the executive office to develop new ideas and strategies. She communicates with the engineers working on new concepts to gain a superior understanding and accurate insight of ORBIS products and services. This has enabled her to better market ORBIS through all media platforms. Miss Davila has developed a marketing campaign that will integrate the marketing material used and establish a unified “look” for ORBIS to be able to market to both DoD customers as well as Commercial Clients. Working not only on developing strong relationships with the DoD as well as the larger prime contract firms, Carolina is heavily involved in the community. Miss Davila was elected Treasurer for Women in Defense in 2009; this included management of registration for all events, financial summaries, financial reports and all coordination with all venues for final cost. Carolina is a Member of many industry organizations and serves as a volunteer in the community. She has also focused much of her energy on supporting STEM activity. In her role within Operations Carolina is responsible for supporting bid and proposal work, interviewing, recruiting as well as all office activity from administrative to project management. Within these responsibilities she is involved in proposal writing, red teams, presentation development and formatting as well as the identification of possible relevant work opportunities.

Carolina’s responsibilities consisted of the procurement and project management of 4800 part count; 22 suppliers. Duties included but are not limited to:• Support a team-based material organization and perform activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including schedule creation and management, materials planning, total quality management, procurement, supplier quality assurance, producibility management, finance, materials systems, and customer service. • Developing and establishing a Master Agreement for the procurement of parts for the of the life of the program (Airplanes 1-1300)• On a regular basis develop requests for quote/proposal(RFQ/RFP) packages, analysis of quotes, establishment of cost targets, technical evaluation, negotiation of price, terms and conditions, delivery and other activities leading to contract award.• Lead Program Reviews and Rate Readiness Reviews with supplier senior level teams as well as lead interactive meetings with Boeing senior leadership to increase our productivity and gain unity within our partnership.• Work directly with Boeing representatives to assist our supplier in maintaining the raw material and hardware needed to meet Boeing standards and requirements.• Facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in "core skill" areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal customers and suppliers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement.• Facilitate and manage daily meetings with Suppliers to review Line of Balance Reports• Mitigate all issues between Vought’s Engineering, Quality Departments and the Supplier. • Organize all communication between the Suppliers, the Field Expeditors the Design Mechanical Engineers and the production floor. • Run all Procurement through our Integration System, SAP.

Miss Davila worked on various programs around the country.Puerto Rico Department of Education; San Juan, PR Aug06 to May07- Assist in the development of an Oracle based student information system used to manage all aspects of the PR Public Education Software System . Worked on the deployment and implementation of the information system into the schools. End-user training; trained aprox. 400 directors of schools how to use the system being implemented. Training was held on site, in Spanish, 5 days a week over 5 months. Created the interactive demo used to teach the system’s capabilities throughout all public schools IBM; Chs, SC - Apr06 to Aug06Apply Lean Six Sigma concepts; unifying global processes within the IBM Knowledge Management Team. Facilitate/Schedule meetings with SME's in all global regions, to consolidate and disseminate “as-is” analysis.
