- Handle public relations and communications output for student media, including writing press releases and leveraging social media to reach audiences on and off campus- Arrange alumni outreach efforts, including organizing Homecoming events, sending quarterly updates, connecting alumni with students and communicating alumni achievements- Teach Media Writing, Reporting for the Public Good and Multimedia Journalism, requiring development of syllabus and overall course structure, administration of grades and revamp of course structures- Teach Elon 101, a university course intended to introduce first-year students to Elon and to college life- Lead recruiting efforts for the School of Communications, which requires attending high school conferences, arranging for faculty to present at conferences and gaining access to local high school journalism classrooms to offer students professionally oriented materials and instruction- Support all student organizations in the School of Communications by identifying professional development opportunities and competitions- Chair Elon University’s Student Media Board

- Served as communications manager for the School of Communications, writing press releases about student, faculty, staff and alumni news, designing web pages, initiating and maintaining the School’s social media presence, and communicating successes of the School to internal and external audiences- Acted as a liaison between student media and faculty, staff and administrators in order to foster trusted relationships and communicate successes- Worked directly with students and advisers of Elon’s six student media organizations to facilitate cooperative relationships, manage transitional strategies and compose annual budgets- Led the merger of Elon’s two news organizations—The Pendulum and “Elon Local News”—into a single news organization called Elon News Network that features a daily website and weekly newspaper, newscast and morning show- Advised The Pendulum, Elon’s student newspaper, during which time the organization won more than 100 awards from national, regional and state organizations
