I got my Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Polytechnic School of Quito in 2002. In 2015 I got a MSc in Corrosion Control Engineering from the University of Manchester, UK. I got my PhD in Mechanical Engineering with Specialization in Pipeline Engineering at the University of Calgary in December of 2020. I am working as a Senior Pipeline Integrity Consultant for Vecor Pipeline Integrity in the area of Chicago since October 2020. I have two certifications from NACE International in cathodic protection NACE CP3, and NACE Internal Corrosion Technologist. I worked in the Oil and Gas industry of my country Ecuador for 13 years, and 10 of them were in direct relation with corrosion control of pipelines and fixed equipment (tanks and vessels). I also work as an instructor for Mcmiller and NACE International. Before starting my PhD I worked as a Mechanical Integrity Engineer for Petroamazonas EP for 6 years where I developed and implemented the Pipeline Integrity Management Program, the External and Internal Corrosion Direct Assessment Methodologies, and the Risk Base Inspection Program. I also worked for Repsol YPF in Ecuador as a Corrosion Technician being responsible of Close Interval Potential Survey (CIS) , Indirect Coating Inspection Surveys (PCM and/or DCVG) and Cathodic Protection Engineering (Designs, Monitoring, Interference Studies). Before that I worked for two Oil Contractor Companies responsible of the design and installation of several projects related to Cathodic Protection of Pipelines and Tanks. I also inspected pipelines with Indirect Inspection techniques such as CIS and DCVG.
