As the CEO of SeismicPS, a company that provides seismic protection solutions for infrastructure projects worldwide, I lead the strategic direction, operational excellence, and global expansion of the organization. With a PhD in Structural and Earthquake Engineering from Hokkaido University, Japan, I have 19 years of international experience and expertise in seismic analysis and design of structures, as well as 12 years of senior management and board member responsibilities. I lived and worked across Mexico, Japan, Switzerland and United States, with working experience in more than forty countries in Asia, Europe and the Americas.I am also a Professor of Structural Engineering at the Department of Sustainable Technologies and Civil Engineering, School of Engineering and Science at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where I share my knowledge and passion for earthquake engineering with the next generation of engineers. I have authored over 80 scientific papers published in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences, and I am an active member of several professional associations and international technical committees. My mission is to advance the state-of-the-art and practice of seismic protection of structures, and to contribute to the resilience and sustainability of communities facing earthquake hazards.
