My team and I launched the San Antonio Market for Envision where we spent many months creating, updating and maintaining a proactive compliance protocol. During that time, I cross-trained in many facets within the Site Coordinator role and an administrative role. My daily operations include reviewing patient charts for deficiencies which occur when providers do not follow compliance guidelines and make patient charts non-billable. Apart from daily reviews of all inpatient charts, I also communicate with all providers to assist them in their completion of patient charts to ensure their scorecards are maintained. I review any flagged charts which are sent by the coding department on a separate system, and within this system I am the last line of review for any charts which may have been missed by other team members. On a weekly basis, I also conduct a patient census which accounts for current, discharged, and new patients coming on to inpatient stays.
