Formerly the energy manager at Emory University, managing the energy direction and decisions of four campuses and a fleet of over 200 facilities. Emory employs district cooling and steam systems for the 10.5 million SF of buildings. A major recent accomplishment has been achieving a 25% reduction in energy use, per square foot, since 2005. This was achieved a year ahead of the, end of FY 2015, goal.Formerly the senior applications engineer and designer of energy analysis applications. Apogee Interactive implements energy analysis software for utilities across the United States. Have designed over 50 various electric, gas, and water applications to help utilities help their customers to quickly and easily estimate rates, savings, and ways to be better stewards of their energy and environmental resources.Prior to Apogee, I managed the energy services, auditing, marketing communications, governmental relations, economic development, and key account aspects of an electric utility. I grew the utility's ability to offer additional energy services, communications, and economic development capabilities to better meet the growing needs of the south Atlanta area.Built my own consulting firm to help utilities meet the needs of their programs and commercial/industrial customers, as well as, to help industrial facilities work with their utilities. In addition to this, my firm assisted industrial facilities in participating in customer choice (deregulation) opportunities in Pennsylvania and Virginia.Have spoken at a number of national and regional conferences on energy and stewardship initiatives and have contributed articles for regional and national publications.
