Currently starting in my new role as a L1 Service Desk Specialist with Syntelligent in support of the US Army. Glad to finally have a foot in the door for the IT world. As a signals intelligence analyst and trainer in the US Navy, I have produced thousands of intelligence reports that increased the situational awareness of strike group and allied forces. I have also trained junior analysts in preparation for deployments, ensuring their readiness and competence. I have an active TS/SCI security clearance with CI poly, and a CompTIA A+ certification that demonstrates my information technology support skills.I am separating from the Navy in June 2024 and looking to transition to the IT industry. I am passionate about computer networking, and aspire to work as a penetration tester in the future. I am currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in cybersecurity and information assurance at Western Governors University, with an expected graduation date of December 2026. I am also working on obtaining the CompTIA Net+ and Sec+ certifications by the end of June 2024. I have started my own personal project of setting up a virtual Active Directory comprised of 13 unique users along with a separate virtual machine to be used by each user to access the server. I plan to implement Group Policies and Roaming Profiles for each account. I used Windows Server 2019 and Windows 10 Enterprise on Oracle VM VirtualBox for this project. I believe this shows my passion and dedication by self educating in order to break into the industry with no professional experience.
