From a young age, I've had a commitment to helping people do and be their best. From helping grade school classmates untie knotted shoelaces to figuring out with a friend the best way to express herself in a college application to painting houses with first-time homeowners, giving of myself to aid people in meeting their goals has been central to my life's purpose. I feel very fortunate to have found in Human Resources a field of practice that allows me to harness my innate passion for empowerment towards enabling organizations to achieve success through people.Over the course of my career, I have accomplished much within a wide-array of organizations. I have created and led strategic planning processes and served as the architect and operational leader for several transformation efforts. I've driven the redesign of organizational change leadership and program management approaches and have overseen integration work for human capital management structures and systems within over 15 merger and acquisition transactions. I am most proud though to have consistently built great teams with people of exceptional capabilities and strong work cultures of collegiality and collaboration.I think more important than what I've done is what I've learned. People want to do their best. We must be committed to enabling them to do so. There will always be a result to our work. Planning, focus, intention, rigor, and discipline better the chances of getting the results we want. Innovation isn't about the willingness to do things differently; it's about the commitment to rethink, tear down, and rebuild to do the right things even better. Good relationships are everything, and graciousness, kindness, respect and forgiveness are critical to building and sustaining them.I've accomplished and learned a lot. I continue to be motivated by how much more I can and want to do, knowing that leading organizations in enabling people to live out their calling is the best job I could imagine.
