Directed Systems Operations and Desktop Engineering teams, built an IT Architecture Team, and managed many organizational consolidations while at AOL. Responsibilities included: • Directing one hundred and fifty plus person organization in the functional areas of Systems Operations, Desktop Engineering, Systems Infrastructure, Platform Services, and Capacity Management & Planning whose primary responsibilities are the engineering and maintenance of 3,300 hosts comprising the AOL Business Technologies Infrastructure. • AOL representative on TW Hardware Standards Committee responsible for defining desktop and server standards for all TW divisions.• Vendor relationship management of primary vendors including HP, Dell, EMC, SUN, and IBM. Negotiated pricing and terms for purchasing and maintenance for all major non-network hardware and software.• Directing off-shore captive and contract resource pool in Bangalore, India which provided on-call and Tier 1 & 2 support function for systems administration function.• Negotiate, prioritize and oversee system design and construction phases required for all Plan of Record and maintenance projects in Business Technologies.• Oversee administration of IT systems infrastructure in 64 in-sourced and outsourced sites.• Provide architectural oversight to all back-office systems, applications, and services.
