If Louisville is the economic engine of the state, then the people of south Louisville are the heart of that engine. The working families of the 25th City Council district deserve excellent health care, good jobs, and a quality education.These are not just empty words. Together we fought to keep Southwest Hospital and emergency care in south Louisville.We fought to facilitate and bring in the new Penske Automotive distribution center, creating over 100 new jobs for the community. In addition, we have helped to find countless jobs for the people within the district.We have secured funding to improve the quality of health and education for several schools in the district by providing playground equipment and after school programs.Further, we have fought to protect the working families of south Louisville by insisting that organized labor had a place at the table in negotiating downtown development projects.South Louisville has been forgotten for far too long and that's why I am committed to being your city councilman.As a Louisville Metro councilman I have fought for better living conditions, better jobs and quality economic development.My council district has seen more economic expansion and more quality residential growth than any of the surrounding districts.I am committed to bringing this kind of dedication and quality of living to all of south Louisville.I believe the government and the private sector can work together to achieve our goals.
