Position – Fixed Capacity Engagements (fee-for-service) • Cambridge Investment Research -- Operations & Maintenance Development – Implement solutions for new features and/or reported production failures of applications that are beyond ‘warranty’ period. Enhance current applications to support the CI/CD solution implemented with Azure DevOps (ADO). Revise and extend applications to support unit‑testing during development using Anypoint Studio, Continuous-build with ADO including using & development of unit-tests for regression, and Continuous-integration through Test, SIT, UAT, and Production environments. Participate in initiative to migrate existing MuleSoft applications which are deployed to on-prem servers to the Cloud Hub V2 environment.

Provide architecture, solution, development, and administrative services in an on‑demand setting. Currently support 70+ integrations involving SAP S4, SFDC, Argus, Actian, Ariba, ServiceNow, et al. These applications span system, process choreography/orchestration, and end-user APIs and both interactive and batch/scheduled processing. • UC San Diego - Health -- Implemented a suite of four applications to support COVID-19 Reporting and Compliance requirements originating with the State of California. These applications covered every employee and contractor associated with the university - professors, students, hospital staff, etc. The applications were deployed to CloudHub in August 2020 and executed reliably through May 2021. During November and December 2020 identified and corrected a data corruption issue triggered by race conditions originating in the public internet

Hired to improve the effectiveness and reach of the architecture consulting group – in particular to ‘productize’ the concept of ‘Business Agility’. This goal was achieved by developing a process supporting ‘Digital Transformations’ from expression of Strategic Intent leading into Portfolio Management and resulting in Deployed Solutions that pro-actively demonstrated that the Strategic Intent was being realized, Investments performed as predicted, and that the Architecture Fitness Functions were vindicated.FedEx Logistics (FXL) -- Transportation & Customs BrokerageDefining a ‘future state’ Business Process Model (BPM) that was accepted by the various leadership teams (Sales & Marketing, Process Engineering, and IT) that could be adapted to satisfy local requirements without compromising the standardized process; and could be realized by evolving organizational structures and software systemsDefining a ‘future state’ Business Process Model (BPM) that demonstrated that the challenge posed by their customer base could be transformed into a market leading product. The resulting BPM was a composition of thirty-five (35) capabilities that covered all modes of transportation – air, ocean, rail, and truck – all filings with Customs (initially import into USA; eventually global import/export) – and all scenarios (Foreign Trade Zone, finished products vs replacement parts, and self service vs Global 500. These models were captured in the Sparx Enterprise Architect tool (BPMN, Value Chain, Capability matrix, et al)

Provide advice on adopting an API Led strategy for developing 'cloud ready' applications in support of Exxon Mobil's Digital Transformation initiatives.-- Created a definition and reference model for APIs that covered all identified use cases for API’s – UX & B2B web services, peer-to-peer, SoR (Systems of Record/Reference), and ETL (extract, transform, & load) / bulk data transfer processes.-- Augmented the API reference model with a comprehensive Security Architecture supporting an end-to-end Zero-trust security model – including goals, policies & standards, governance, and supporting security technology products.-- Mapped the API reference model onto a ‘strawman’ Data Architecture I defined that included support for meta-data, reference data, schema & message payloads, transactional data, derived data (replication, caches, indexes, and views), and analytical data including data lakes.

Engaged to provide background, advice, and assessment of key issues affecting adoption and exploitation of micro-services

Retained by T-Mobile to create solution architectures for a broad range of projects; present the solution architectures to the VP Review Board to obtain project funding; and to improve organizational performance.
