SIMPREG project May 2024 – July 2024 • Contributed to the development of data analytics and wearable sensors aimed at reducing stillbirths as part of the $50M worldwide In Utero programme. • Addressed challenges in pulse wave velocity measurements by developing alternative methods using PPG signals. • Acquired a basic understanding of machine learning, statistical models, and coding to extract key features and utilize data visualisation to reveal significant trends.Breast Biomechanics Project July 2024 – present • Currently working on developing a breast impact detection system to quantify impact locations, magnitude, and direction in vivo. • Investigating the use of pressure and strain sensors, an IMU, and an Arduino system in conjunction with high speed cameras in an initial optimisation phase to evaluate their sensitivity and performance on breast-like surfaces using silicone phantoms.

In this role I have trained in many lab techniques - examples include cell culture work, analysis techniques such as SDS page, fermentation, aseptic techniques. In conjunction with work completed at the end of my master's degree, I conducted white paper-based research on collagen hydrogel gelation through rheological means as part of my current job.
