2Nd Responder Field Care Consultant
CurrentProvide services as Second Responder as part of a Mobile Crisis Team providing community based, face-to-face, rapid response to children and adults with behavioral health concerns.• Serves as field care consultant providing community based, face-to-face, rapid response to children and adults with behavioral health conditions, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in an active state of crisis. • Ensure the safety of staff and consumers by assessing consumer sites• Mental Health resource subject matter expert. Educate individual in crisis on rights and responsibilities and ensure that all consents are signed. Complete warm transfer of Client when referred to medical facilities• Prepare electronic reports on critical incidents as needed and daily shift reports • Deescalate crisis and coordinate with Law Enforcement officials for back-up in cases where involuntary transports are needed• Ensure diversion rate is no more than 85%. Establish and maintain professional working relationships with emergency medical transport law enforcement professionals while on the job• Completes appropriate paperwork and referrals during assessment of consumer, coordinating dispatch, completing follow-up calls and emails as appropriate. • Partner with Supervisor or Licensed Clinician on level cases involving multiple local. State and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies• Ensure response time adherence within 59 minutes of dispatch by GCAL.
