Led on end to end process resulting in submission of 40+ bids with projected contract revenue of over £1bn. Demonstrates strong communication and presentational skills. Additional duties include Business Development support including strategy development; identifying opportunities for investment; prospect screening and tracking, and client engagement.

The EDP is a key component of HS2's team delivering Phase One and 2A of the project. As the Business Manager of the JV, my role is to identify and manage efficiency of technical delivery work-streams, support commercial activities, and enable our team to provide HS2 with the most effective solutions to their toughest challenges.

Relocated to Birmingham to lead Bechtel’s business development activities for infrastructure prospects outside of London. Reporting directly to the UK Marketing and Business Development Manager, activities included implementing and influencing the company’s regional strategy with a view to shaping key prospects; building presence in the region, including attending events on behalf of the company; identifying and bringing prospects before senior management for investment; management of Bechtel’s regional office and support strategic expansion; engagement with customers, partners, and supply chain; offering bid support and advice to proposal teams; and preparing white papers and strategy documents for senior management.

Managed all facets of technical proposal development to ensure successful delivery of high quality bids to prospective clients. Typical duties included the development, review, approval, and finalisation of proposals. Bidding activity ranged from simple qualification questionnaires to complex EPC tenders – many of which involved collaboration with external partners and consultants. Notable wins included the Sydney Metro; HS1 Renewals; London City Delivery Partner; Gatwick Construction Management; and HS2 Phase 2b Development Partner.

Supporting the Manager of Strategy in screening of potential prospects, competitor and market analysis, proposal and prospect tracking, organising and facilitating senior management meetings, and preparation of management presentations.

Reporting to the Principal Counsel for Infrastructure, duties included preparation and execution of Powers of Attorney; License and legal entity registration; Due Diligence on potential partners, agents and clients; tracking and investigation of claims and potential litigation issues; Corporate Secretarial responsibilities such as formal submission of accounts and registration documents, Board of Directors meetings; Proposal development support; Management Approval Letters; and Corporate Compliance.

Reporting to the Functional Manager of Contracts & Procurement for Infrastructure my responsibilities included reporting on contract management compliance on the company's major infrastructure projects; issuing, tracking and execution of Purchase Orders and Service Agreements; general proposal support, corporate audit; and contract reviews.

Thorough administration of the prime contract requirements and deliverables; clear and effective communication with project personnel in developing sound written responses to client concerns; identifying, logging and tracking of potential issues for legal assessment and reservation of rights claims.
