Since I completed my degree in Genetics in 1999, I focused on Genetics and Molecular Biology. Firstly, I was involved with strictly basic investigations, but soon I moved to medically applicable research. In different laboratories in Argentina, Spain and The Netherlands I have specialized in the biology of the thyroid gland, more specificaly in hypothyroidism, syndromes associated to the thyriod gland, signalling pathways, development and cancer thyroid.In my two previous jobs, I was in charge to start the newly established laboratories with the purchase of equipment and supplies. Training of laboratory personnel (students, technicians and residents) in molecular biology techniques, for both research and clinical diagnosis, etc.Since 2013 to 2017, I focused in the cancer area. I was dedicated to the diagnosis of somatic and germline mutations associated with different types of cancers such as thyroid cancer derived from follicular cells, medullary thyroid cancer, MEN2, among others.Now I direct and coordinate the Diagnostics and Molecular Biology laboratories. I supervise the management of the samples received in the unit and the reports issued. I monitor the degree of compliance with the objectives and the resolution of incidents. I am also in charge of scientific-technical advice, communication with clients and commercial department.I have background knowledge, technical skills in molecular biology and group management necessary to tackle the challenge to work to any kind of diagnosis lab, biotechnology or pharmaceutical companies.I am a proactive, adaptable and capable of working in multicultural environments.
