Brought on board to launch eHarmony’s second venture. Jazzed.com was created to be a direct competitor to search- based dating sites and lead innovation in the mobile dating space. Managed 20+ external developers plus in-house resources to launch in July 2010. During this time, also managed the launch of eHarmony’s v1.0 iPhone, iPad and Android apps.• Launched iOS in April 2011. Built strong relationship w/ Apple to get featured. Over 250k+ downloads to date.• Launched Android in May 2011 w/ over 50k+ downloads to date.• Fostering a culture of innovation, conceived, developed, and launched PhotoFeed, an iOS only feature, to test social and interest-based photo sharing in the dating space. • Utilized the latest in Java, Spring, Solr, Voldemort technologies within SOA architecture.

Continued to establish best-in-class Matching Team with the purpose of blending psychology, machine learning and technology to develop the best compatibility set for members. As a result, eHarmony’s matching technology is responsible for 542 marriages per day in the US alone.• Built and managed a top 10+-person Engineering Team.• Established architecture for crunching thru a 20+million member bipartite graph and all attributes needed to create daily matches.• Initiated the use of Hadoop and Amazon’s EC2/EMR services to re-architect existing service for greater scale, resulting in substantial improvement in processing time (8+ hours to 30+ minutes).• Collaborated closely w/ Amazon during startup phase of EMR. Actively participated in Hadoop Summit and Hadoop World conferences.• Innovated and implemented the use of importance factors and ‘fuzzy matches’, doubling the number of matches created and resulted in significant bump in subscriptions.
