It's about understanding the bigger picture while keeping a keen eye on every detail within our domain. My role is a mix of hands-on work and people management, with the scales often tipping more towards the latter over time. Drawing from my deep-rooted experience in the field, I'm always ready to roll up my sleeves and dive into the tech maze.Bottom line? As a Chapter Lead, I'm an experienced developer-turned-leader, bridging gaps, fostering an inspired, competent community, and integrating our tribe seamlessly into the broader organization. FounderChrismo Jan 2009 - Oct 2024Langerak, Zuid-Holland, NlWhen life gave me code, I didn't just make a program - I founded Chrismo, where we turn lines of code into digital success stories.Armed with a smorgasbord of programming languages and frameworks like C#, Typescript, Node.js, Next.js, React, Xamarin, React Native, Tailwind CSS, and Entity Framework, I craft applications that are as robust as a rhino and as nimble as a cat on a hot tin roof.At Chrismo, we specialize in digital metamorphosis. We take your initial idea, mold it into a compelling concept, and then develop a Minimum Viable Product (MVP). Once the MVP has its sea legs, we refine it until it's ready to take on the world. But wait, there's more! I also have a knack for spotting potential unicorns in the wild. I've made strategic investments in platforms like Travel Diaries, Hippe Taarten, and the Revino wine platform, helping them gallop towards success. If you're in search of a software maestro who can make your business sing in the digital symphony, look no further. Let's make beautiful code together! -
CtoRevino Wineplatform Dec 2022 - May 2024Rotterdam, South Holland, NlAs the cheery CTO of Revino, I've enthusiastically uncorked my resources and expertise, making a spirited investment in a tech-driven revolution in the global wine industry. From the moment the grape seed takes root in the soil, to the point when an appreciative oenophile sips their favorite vintage, we're weaving in innovation every step of the way.Teaming up with a dynamic crew, we're cultivating a platform that's all about celebrating the rich tapestry of wine. It's a vibrant marketplace, bustling with activity, where wine producers, professional buyers, importers, and sellers gather to uncork their best, discover new bouquets, and toast to exciting deals. The era of small-scale vintners feeling overshadowed is officially over. At Revino, everyone gets their moment in the sun. Our platform enables producers to spotlight their passion and wines, and link up with buyers across multiple sales channels. And our advanced software tools? They're like a sommelier's best friend, offering a suite of features to finesse the vine-to-glass journey. So here's to bidding 'adieu' to inefficiencies and inequalities in the wine market. With Revino, doing business is as smooth as a well-aged Chardonnay and as fair as a perfectly shared bottle. We're all about revolutionizing the wine industry, one delightful sip at a time. Let's raise a glass to that! -
Co-Founder & Jack Of All Trades At Hippe TaartenHippe Taarten Dec 2021 - Oct 2022In a world where online shopping rules, I spotted a sweet opportunity - we co-founded Hippe Taarten, the ultimate online destination for cake lovers nationwide! As a co-founder, I wore many hats (and aprons). From developing custom software that drives our unique platform, to rolling up my sleeves and joining the renovation crew when our shop needed a facelift, there wasn't a role I didn't dip into. From baking simple cakes and sweets (quality control was a tough job, but someone had to do it!) to delivering orders and providing the best customer service, I've experienced it all!Unfortunately, I had to bid farewell to Hippe Taarten, but not before garnering a wealth of experiences that continue to shape my journey. While the story didn't pan out as I'd imagined, it left me with valuable lessons, a sprinkle of resilience, and a zest for the next venture. As they say in the baking world, when one oven door closes, another preheats. Onwards and upwards! -

Junior ConsultantIvention Jan 2013 - Jun 2013Working at iVention as a Junior Consultant was a blast! We had this killer Laboratory Information Management System that was seriously a game-changer for our customers in the manufacturing, automotive, cosmetics, environmental healthcare, and food industries.I had this cool role where I got to guide customers on how to use our system. And it wasn't just about showing them the ropes, I also got to create custom software for them. It was all about understanding their needs and then tailoring our system to be a perfect fit.The best part? Most of the software development was happening in India. So, not only did I get to dig into the tech side of things, but I also got to work with an awesome team of developers from a completely different culture. It was really eye-opening to see how they approached problems and came up with solutions. Plus, I learned a ton about working with different cultures, which was super interesting. So yeah, working at iVention was a really great experience. It was a mix of tech, creativity, and cultural exchange - definitely not your average day at the office!

.Net Web ProgrammerNice2Do Aug 2011 - Dec 2012Man, Nice2do was a wild ride! We were all about creating total web solutions. It was like being a part of this super professional, experienced, and driven team – we were a force to be reckoned with.Sure, Nice2do had its ups and downs, even went bankrupt eventually, but boy did we make some waves before that. We had our hands in everything, from building websites for big shots like Gers Pardoel to setting up the first version of Inspratie op Locatie. That was a real gem, let me tell you. It was this awesome platform where you could book all these quirky and inspiring locations for events, meetings, you name it. And we didn't stop there, we made it so you could arrange for snacks, drinks, equipment, even extras like overnight stays or activities. It was like booking a hotel or flight but for event locations. Then there was this project for 010 autoverhuur, where we created a car rental system. We also developed this super smart planning system for mechanics, made sure they didn't have to drive around too much. And I can't forget to mention the workflow system we developed for Imtech, that was a cool project. The team was tight-knit, real multi-disciplinary group. I got to play a big part in that. I was there pushing our dev team to switch from VB to C#, and as a .NET developer, I was crafting top-notch DotNetNuke solutions for our clients. It was great getting to brainstorm with the customers, really dig into what they needed and come up with the best solution. So yeah, my time at Nice2do was quite the adventure. Even with the ups and downs, I wouldn't trade that experience for anything
