I have worked on various freelance design projects, from business cards to conference proceedings or webdesign, and I always try to keep things as environmentally friendly and sustainable as possible. I give personal one to one support and training in Apple Macintosh, iPad, iPhoto, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom, Gmail and Facebook Pages.As a freelance tutor, I have offered a range of courses and workshops for Coastal Leisure Learning (Suffolk) and Aldeburgh Library Foundation, both are community orientated adult leisure learning organisations:* Creative Calligraphy – Taster day and evening workshops;* Social media workshops: 'Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn for Beginners'; 'Get started with Social Networking'; 'Advance your Facebook Skills: Facebook for business use'.* Calligraphy Re-discovered, a creative introduction to traditional and contemporary experimental calligraphy with a good mixture of theory and practical exercises; a range of changing subjects for the six week terms.I sell my products and craft instructions via my online Etsy shop on www.StarsofSuffolk.etsy.com and attend local fairs and craft markets to keep in contact with my customers.My trading name changed in 2014 from 'ColourCompass' to 'Stars of Suffolk' and is C. M. Koch Design since late 2017.

Founded as "Wild Adventures under Suffolk's Skies" and based in Suffolk (UK) until 2017, we got people close to nature, history and culture with our programme of scheduled and bespoke, guided heritage walks, photography workshops and summer camp nights - all with a strong hint of adventure under the wild and open skies on the Suffolk coast. Our Suffolk team was a bunch of professional, very friendly and communicative, open minded people. They all liked to share their deep love, extensive knowledge and infectious enthusiasm for everything wild in the great outdoors.From 2014 – 2017, our partners have been the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB), the Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and the Suffolk Punch Trust. Since 2022 Monika, founder and owner of Wild Adventures, offers on her own guided walks with astronomic themes in the Dark Sky Reserve Rhön and the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Rhön (Germany). She continues to work with local businesses and organisations.

Dealing with large scale mailings; local delivery of brochures on the Suffolk coast area; encouraging local businesses to be associated with Aldeburgh Music; helping maintain the customer database; supporting the box office.

We had been contracted by the Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) to consult for the development of two Coastal Community Fund projects, which both have gone live from Autumn 2015.

I lead the development, organization and delivery of an events programme to raise awareness for the remaining Suffolk Sandlings heathlands; I worked with partner organisations of the RSPB, such as the Forestry Commission, Suffolk Coast & Heaths AONB and Touching the Tide, and with the reserves’ team as well as on my own initiative to achieve the agreed objectives of the Suffolk Coast Futurescapes communications plan:* Enthusing and inspiring the local community about the amazing wildlife of the Suffolk Sandlings,* Connecting people - and especially children - with nature on Sandlings heathland sites,* Raising awareness about the RSPB's landscape-scale conservation programme and the Suffolk Coast Futurescape,* Increasing public awareness of the partnership work of the RSPB and the Forestry Commission around heathland re-creation in the forests on the Suffolk Sandlings.

I lead the planning, development and delivery of an innovative upmarket art and photography event format; I designed new volunteer roles, and then recruited and managed the volunteer team of around a dozen people; I developed, designed and lead on the promotion of the events; I communicated with visitors from the earliest contact onwards until after the events; I researched and appointed the first 'Artist in Residence' for Havergate Island, and finally, I set up a professional celebration exhibition with the photography and art results from these events. I have made all that possible within a very short timescale, with no start budget at all. This was the third time I successfully applied for 'World of Difference' funding by the Vodafone Foundation. Again, I was paid by the scheme while working for my 'favourite charity'. The RSPB extended my contract and I set up and organised the first ever Big Wild Sleepout on Havergate Island which was a huge success too.

I worked as part of the education team at Foxburrow Farm and at the SWT Headquarter, created all print material for Suffolk’s first ‘Outdoor Learning Conference’ and helped with the organisation of the day itself. I designed marine themed interpretation materials, activity sheets and educational displays for the Suffolk Show, Latitude festival and school visits and created show decorations, all within the Wildlife Trust's brand guidelines. I delivered activities at events, recruited new members, supported the team with my social media knowledge and wrote a blog.This placement was funded by the Vodafone Foundation as part of their World of Difference programme.

I was responsible for the daily routine and the volunteers at the Wildlife Information Centre, organised events and worked with the public on a face to face basis, engaging about the RSPB and interpreting the wildlife on the Suffolk Coast. I also supported the reception team at the RSPB Minsmere nature reserve.

Working as part of a large team of staff and volunteers; responding to staff and visitor demands; being visitor oriented; providing guidance to reception volunteers in membership recruitment; assisting with all aspects of the retail operation; regularly supporting where needed and acting on my own initative.

Supporting the operational side of the wildlife information centre at Snape, including frontline visitor services and membership recruitment.This project placement was funded by the Vodafone Foundation as part of their World of Difference programme.

I trained future IT specialists in the subjects of Colour Theory, and Art and Design History.

I trained future Graphic Design Assistants in the subjects of colour theory, calligraphy, typography, still life drawing, foundations of design and elements of art.In addition, I was involved in the development of the state curriculum for FE colleges, for the above subjects plus art history, and advised the State Ministry of Education, Free State of Saxony.

Creating colour designs for exteriors and interiors using CAD for professional and corporate clients, often under extreme pressure of pending building deadlines.Some of my designs are still visible on facades at Cologne and withstand weather, time and changing design trends.

Producing fragile and very detailed small-scale models from architectural drawings in a workshop.

Painting backdrops and murals; producing various other painted and sculptured elements for drama and musical theatre productions including large sized props.

Assisting the set designer Stefan Pachinger in all his duties.Helping to create, paint and deliver the set design for one theatre production.

Working for this traditional joinery, carpentry and timberframing company on modern sites as well as on restoration projects.
