Experimentalist focused on the mean dynamical behavior of wall-bounded turbulent flows. As a flow- physics researcher, primary methods for analysis include high order statistical quantification, identifying randomly recurring nonlinear functions, understanding correlation relationships between multiple time dependent variables. Research accomplishments include: - Mathematically derived scalings which yielded the nonlinear unclosed mean governing equation of turbulent boundary layers parameter invariant over an internal domain.- Evaluated physical phenomena of turbulent flows using an innovative spectra method which established the characteristic behaviors of complex quantities used in turbulence modelling.- Investigated and estimated probability distributions to establish an alternative foundation for the description of turbulent similarity.- Critiqued and revised nonlinear differential models for turbulent wall flows. - Developed and executed an experimental technique used for the measure of fluctuating velocity gradients in highly chaotic flows.- Advised fellow graduate students on research methods and procedures.

Obtained a Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering studying the scale separation effects on the mechanisms of boundary layer turbulence. During this process some primary accomplishments were:- Constructed and developed complex micro hot-wires sensors, including a four element spanwise vorticity probe and a turbulent kinetic energy probe.- Acquired spanwise vorticity and Reynolds stress measurements at the Flow Physics Facility and the Melbourne Wind Tunnel. - Designed and constructed a micro multi-sensor hot-wire manufacturing station. - Programmed electro-mechanical calibration unit and profiling traversing system for multi-dimensional hot-wires necessary for the function of the sensors.
