Knitwear Technical Developer

Work as a liaison between Sales, Design/Development and Production• Maintain TNA calendar to meet to Customer target delivery dates• Manage the approval process and timeline to ensure accuracy and avoid delivery impact• Attend marketing planning meetings to be up to date on future trends• Create and maintain Time and action calendars on all development samples progress from development thru production• Work with factories and management on negotiating cost for garments to meet target cost points• Send out and follow-up on Customer required testing prior to shipping products• Establish care and content labels based off fabric testing results• Manage tech team, & sample room to send out samples on time• Maintain communication with Development team and buyers to achieve style changes and order inquiries• Communicating and following up with Import manufacturers on new product development• Request an manage delivery of proto samples, PP samples and TOP samples• Monitor production status of orders scheduled to ship and help trouble shoot to maintain delivery• Monitor and maintain the pre-production process and work flow to ensure delivery is maintained

• Technical Designer: Creating tech packs, and handling overseas fabric development• Product development - following up/communicating with China manufacturers on new product• Work with pattern makers on specific technical call-outs• Serve as a liaison between departments and operating units in the resolution of day-to-day production problems• Entering all fabric an trim info into WEBPDM: Sewing Instructions, BOM, Construction Details• Sketching, trend researching through working with fabric and trim vendors.• Assist with fitting with pattern makers and designers. • Create label and hangtag placement pages for each customer• Create preliminary spec pages based off patternmakers info an history of brand specification• Responsible for all accurate information in the Final Production Tech Pack.

• Manage all overseas and domestic communication on samples and production: China/Mexico • Design: Sketch new design ideas on illustrator, or flat sketching • Creating and adhering to Time and Action calendars• Work with Head Designer on new line fabric developments and production fabric runs• Serve as a liaison between departments and operating units in the resolution of day-to-day production problems• Work directly with in house fabric mill on new developments per customer order• Develop new washes with wash houses that meet the current market• Coordinate, Manage and source new trims/hardware/embellishments for PL packaging• Manage individual PL accounts on new orders: Organizing, and Filing all info needed• Schedule Development Samples: 1St sample, PP sample, and Top Samples• Attend/Manage fittings from 1st proto to production fittings• Pre-Cost and Finalize wholesale cost with owner.• Work with various contractors on send outs: Dye House, Embroidery, Screen Prints, Sewing• Give concise instructions pattern makers & sample sewers, & technical design team on the development of new styles • Manage and approve final samples, fabrics, lab dips, screen layout and placements• Work with buyers, Sales & account holders on retail sales an plan fabric/style projections
