I was responsible for policy formation in the areas of forestry and archaeology, urban archaeology archaeological assessment and monitoring procedures, stone monument decay, unpublished excavations and the use of human remains in Irish archaeology. I chaired the St.Mary's Church, Kilkenny Stakeholder group that contributed to the site conservation plan. I contributed to the IAI technical paper on the treatment of human remains. I was involved in carrying out field inspections for the Inventory of Co. Sligo. I produced the Record of Monuments for Co. Sligo in 1995 and contributed to the Archaeological Inventory of Co. Sligo.
