EUMETSAT staff working in the altimetry group appointed as EUMETSAT’s CRISTAL Mission Scientist. My duties involve:• As CRISTAL mission scientist it is my responsibility to write and coordinate the support in writing of the CRISTAL Global Ocean operational ground segment specifications. In this role, I am a member of the CRISTAL mission advisory group, and I have participated in the writing of the mission requirements document. Moreover, the mission scientist shall support system and ground segment engineering teams in the definition, verification and validation of the Global Ocean operational processors, and in the routine monitoring of Global Ocean operational products when the mission is launched. • In the altimetry team at EUMETSAT I am also responsible for the routine monitoring of the Jason-CS mission (S6 MF + S6 B) products. In this role I am actively contributing and coordinating the multi-partner cal/val activities (ESA, NASA/JPL, NOAA and CNES); and supporting all system and ground segment teams as needed to ensure the best products' quality through routine monitoring, reprocessing, algorithm evolutions, instrument monitoring and planning.

Teleworked for GST / NOAA - NESDIS - Ocean Physics Brach - Laboratory for Satellite Altimetry as senior scientis in High Resolution Mode (HRM) altimetry or SAR mode altimetry, and as measurement systems engineer (MSE) for the Jason-2 and Jason-3 missions. The MSE coordinates with the partner agency MSEs to define the data products and processing algorithms for all of the Jason missions (J-2, J-3 and J-CS).
