Primary responsibilities center around design and drafting/3D modeling for industrial refrigeration systems, primarily for fishing vessels and shore plants. Work including creation of P&ID and detail drawings using AutoCAD and Solidworks, performing design calculations, meeting with customers to ascertain their needs to properly size equipment and systems, overseeing fabrication in the shop, ordering materials and equipment, assisting with new product development, creating instruction manuals and technical documents, preparing preliminary designs and cost estimates for quotes, and preparing formal written quotations.
