My responsibility is introducing new sheet metal stamped parts in Aveiro plant. Since BOSCH relies on efficient and state of the art standards for increased productivity all projects require me to manage many complex expectations and develop machine and tool specifications accordingly. I am responsible for managing the industrialization process from its inception to its conclusion. Below are some of my achievements so far:- More than 70 Tools for visual and structural components (manual transfer and progressive).- Two Presses for sheet metal process and a quick change over system - More than 20 visual painting parts- Process/design failure mode effects analysis for more than 50 partsI am respectful and responsible which has helped resolve disputes and my project engineering background makes me able to find solutions to complex machine/tool designs. I have become a goal oriented individual and I am learning a more structured project management system which is giving me invaluable experience.

All projects were for external clients and were manufactured and assembled at client premises. Some of the projects I worked directly as project engineer of 3D/2D CAD models were:-Automatic assembling machine for car ignitions-Factory assembly line for a water heater manufacturer-Straw making machine, food grade qualityHaving used different technologies for different customers, pneumatic, hydraulic, servo electric, linear drives, etc. I developed substantially my skills and understanding of machine design and assembly. Having used 3D and 2D CAD modeling as my basic tool of work has further improved my expertise in Solidworks and Inventor.

My responsibility was to take a client specification list and to develop a custom quality project. A major factor of my integration was supervising all the stages of production of some of the 3D and 2D designs I made as part of my training process in AMOB SA. A key point of my work was:-Being part of a team developing 2 CNC machines, CH 220 CNC and CH 270 CNC. These are two heavy duty machines for bending tubes. The later machine was developed to bend up to two ton tubes.Having used skills learned in University I furthermore developed my understanding of mechanical design, 3D and 2D modeling in Inventor, machining processes, heat treatments and material selection.

Oporto (Portugal)

Research institute strongly linked with Faculty of engineering of Oporto with a focus on composites and product development. I was responsible for the characterization of mechanical properties on adhesives: Young´s Modulus, Fracture energy in both mode I and II, etc. Furthermore I was responsible for numerical simulation of varies adhesive joints in Abaqus. Some key points of my work were:-Characterization of state of the art adhesive for an automotive supplier in Japan.-Publication of two articles:1) Mechanical characterization of a high elongation and high toughness epoxy adhesive.2) Optimization of the bulk tensile and double cantilever beam specimens used in cohesive zone models.
