About Carlos Manuel Sequeira

• Fire Service Supervisor at ANA/Vinci Airports, at Lisbon Airport.• Firefighter at Montijo Volunteer Fire Department.• BLS+AED Instructor at Senilife.- From July 2001 to August 31st, 2015 I was posted at Horta Airport (LPHR) as a Firefighter and later in 2012 as Crew Commander.- As of September 1st, 2015, I have been transferred to Lisbon International "Humberto Delgado" Airport (LPPT) as Supervisor at the Airport Fire Service.- As of 2016, certified as Aircraft Recovery Specialist by AMS Aircraft Recovery Ltd, and later in 2018 until recently by Resqtec.- Along side my professional career I am also a Volunteer Firefighter.- In 2004 started as a Probationary Firefighter in my town's Volunteer Fire Department, soon starting to build a respectful career by taking part in many simulated exercises, courses, such as EMT, AED, Extrication, High Angle Rescue, Biological Incidents, among several others, and also fulfilling my day by day duty.- Later in 2006 got promoted to 3rd Class Firefighter and granted with the Copper Medal for 5 years of uninterrupted duty. In 2013 was granted with the Silver Medal for Distinguished Services, and the year after recognised by the City's Town Hall, for achieving 10 years of duty. December 2014, was promoted to 2nd Class Firefighter.- In January 2015, invited by the Fire Chief, I accepted the position of the Department's Deputy Fire Chief, which, I believe, was performed with pride and most dedication. Also in that year, I was granted with the Silver Medal for 10 years of uninterrupted duty.- With my transfer to Lisbon Int'l Airport, I was forced to abdicate my position as Deputy Fire Chief by April 2016. - After this, I continue my volunteer career as 2nd Class FF at Montijo's Volunteer Fire Department in Setúbal's District.- In 2019 was granted with the Gold Medal for 15 years of uninterrupted duty.- 2020 marks a new point in my life as I was granted the certification of instructor by the National Medical Emergency Institute for BLS+AED.- I am always open to new and interesting opportunities for training and apprenticeship within my area of emergency management and safety duties.
