- Assisted process engineers in day-to-day tasks. This includes sampling, field work, and calculating efficiency.- Optimized the storing area for lime rock. Created a system to blend and dry the varying lime rocks to have one uniform mixture into the plant instead of multiple inputs.- Performed testing and sampling for quality control purposes in laboratory. This included sample preparation of cement pellets, use of x-ray spectroscopy machine, and making necessary changes to the process to allow for a balanced blend of cement.- Increased production by creating a system of adding grinding material into the raw mill while it was operating. Reduced the cost of labor by $3,520 per year and reduced the loss of kiln feed by $405,950 per year.
