I lead Security, Compliance and Privacy for Cloud SQL, one of the largest services on Google Cloud Platform. Despite no prior experience, I gained domain expertise in 2 months and successfully scaled the charter from 1 to 10. My org covers a broad scope including authentication, production security, security infrastructure & compliance. I created strategy, aligned with cross-functional partners and drove execution resulting in strong product differentiation and higher bar for security - e.g. brought in significant revenue with launched features (FedRAMP High, IAM, TLS certificate mgmt, IL4, Sovereign Cloud), proposed/launched features for Gemini (Google's genAI initiative), improved quality/operation significantly, resulted in top security researchers publicly endorsed our security. I earned "Excellent" ratings in all 3 categories in Google-wide manager surveys: Deliver Results, Develop People, Build Community. Also, my org was recognized with 4 Google Cloud Tech Impact Awards (rewards top 10% projects with most impact for GCP), one of which involves 80+ team members across business units and ~20 teams, across time zones.

I led Control Plane development for a stealth-mode cloud storage service which is optimized for AI vectoring processing, analytic and transaction workloads for Oracle database. Founding member of the team, set technical direction, built a team from scratch and took the service from conception to a preview with early customers.

I led query complier/optimizer team for Apache Impala, real-time analytic database to enable fast analysis on big data (2000+ customers, $XXX-MM). To help company meet revenue targets, drove cross-org efforts to scale the product, directly resulting in closures of multiple critical deals. This included partnering with top customers to handhold their deployments (with big data pipelines), anticipating and proactively resolving problems, leading architectural product improvements to solve top pain point and improve product scalability by 10x.

I was recognized as one of the top 26 Oracle engineers that changed the company in a Business Insider Article. During my time there, I was a founding member of Exadata, which becomes a $1B+ product in < 5 years. Exadata is a computing platform that enables 10x better database performance and scalability compared to competitions. I teams to deliver excellent product performance - e.g. recording-hitting IOPS number (2+MM), 5x better TPCH queries, with features such as Storage Index and Columnar Flash Cache.
