Originally from Midwest Michigan she graduated from the Aveda Institute in 2012 with her cosmetology license, she then continued her education in hairstyling and makeup artistry with an emphasis on color techniques and wig work. She had managed and worked as a freelance artist for high-end makeup brands like Laura Mercier, Chanel, & Estée Lauder. She has corporate business experience as well as many addition hair and makeup certifications from 12 years of continued education. She has loved the art of filmmaking from the time she was a little girl, always looking at what she would do with different hair looks, and make up looks and movies. When it comes to working in a department, she is always a collaborative approach spirit. I always aim to keep a respect level and for there to be a positive energy and effort, there are always chaotic things that arise in filmmaking, and I handle them with graceCat's hair and makeup experience has culminated in her leading and working on teams for both makeup & hair departments on several film and television productions. Most recently, Cat was the makeup department head on the widely-praised 2022 Sundance film God’s Country, starring Thandiwe Newton. Currently, she just worked in the hair department on Yellowstone season 5 as well as just wrapped in the 1923 Dutton Saga prequel “ starring Harrison Ford and Hellen Mirren”!
