I started with Telvent as an Account Specialist. I was promoted to the position of RTU Projects Specialist. In 2009 Telvent was purchased by Schneider Electric.As RTU Projects Specialist, I managed SCADA RTU product projects from the time of order receipt, through component acquisition, manufacturing, and delivery. This included managing cost and budget, monitoring production to assure timely delivery, and interfacing with, and building relationships with our customers. Typically, I had responsibility for 30-50 orders at any given time.As an Account Specialist, I coordinated the technical and commercial response to client RFI’s and RFQ's for multi-million dollar projects within the power utility industry. This position required continuous communication with the sales team, technical groups and the customer during the proposal response process.

I was responsible for the development and maintenance of the Splitrock Services corporate web site and the Houston facilities Intranet. I was also charged with the development of data driven web applications built using primarily PHP and MySQL for both internal and customer use.Other responsibilities included writing and keeping SQL scripts up to date, server software maintenance and patching, and the setup Red Hat Linux server applications including Apache, Jakarta Tomcat, and related services. I also created streaming digital video content for corporate wide presentations. This included recording, conversion and editing for streaming.

I was responsible for the development of 3D "as-built" computer models using close range photogrammetric 3D modeling applications. I was assigned to the position of "Design Lead" for most projects. My duties consisted of assisting management in defining project requirements, interfacing with on-site project management, and ensuring the quality of deliverables.As Systems Administrator my duties included administration of a small multi-platform network, corporate Internet and Intranet site design, and computer systems maintenance.

In this contract position, I developed technical illustrations for inclusion into technical and training manuals for a military tactical vehicle design contract through Stewart & Stevenson for the U.S. government.

I worked directly with the CEO in the creation of corporate marketing materials, including PowerPoint Presentations demonstrating the technical capabilities of this engineering & consulting company. I was also assigned responsibility for setup, and maintenance of all computer systems hardware and software. I coordinated the “Cheetah Team”, an advisory committee established to provide recommendations to management on new hardware, software, and technology.Other tasks and responsibilities included engineering site walk-downs, various drafting/illustration assignments using Microstation and AutoCAD and creating 3D conceptual models. In 1994, I was promoted to project supervisor. Tasks included assuring conformance to design, supervision of personnel, and the inventory/purchase of project related materials.
