At Kutztown University, I am directly responsible for the daily operations and oversight of all Retail Dining Locations on campus including a Chick-fil-A, Starbucks We Proudly Brew, Java City Coffee Shop, a fully licensed Starbucks, and 5 proprietary brand locations with a team of 80 employees. My responsibilities include staffing, ordering, finances and daily operations. I am tasked with increasing sales at the proprietary brand locations as well as in Grab and Go and Impulse items including sandwiches, salads, snacks and bottled beverages. I am also assigned to the campus safety committee as the secretary responsible for communicating all safety information across campus with the Campus Safety Leader. I consistently assist around campus at our Residential Locations during peak periods and busy weekends. I am also involved with Customer Service training in order to increase guest satisfaction across campus.

Kent, Ohio

At Kent State University, I was a part of the opening team on the ground during the transition of Food Service providers for the university. I originally was responsible for the operation of an a la carte dining location as well as a small convenience store located in the Student Center. During the semester, I transitioned to the Retail Food Court working directly with a newly assigned Food Service Director as well as the remaining management team to oversee the daily operations of 4 branded locations (Einstein's, Subway, Auntie Anne's and Wow Bao) and a local coffee shop. I was directly responsible for all ordering and financial documents including transfers and invoice payment. I also assisted in all hiring and scheduling procedures for the 5 locations. In addition, I was also responsible for maintaining the relationship with 2 local vendor restaurants to ensure company safety and health compliance was maintained. Also during my time at Kent State, I was the Campus Safety Leader. This position left me responsible for the training and compliance of all company safety policies and procedures including Food and Occupational Safety for all 23 locations and 1200 dining services employees. I was also responsible for ensuring policies were blended with the University Safety and Compliance Office to ensure the strictest procedures were enforced. While conducting the Safety training, the HR Manager trained me to conduct all on-boarding and orientation trainings including HR policies, Customer Service and Diversity & Inclusion. Training groups consisted of 10-400 people including students, full-time employee and managers.

Toledo, Ohio

During my time at the University of Toledo, I was directly responsible for the daily operations of a Convenience Store, including ordering, staffing and sales reporting. In addition, I assisted in two additional Convenience Stores when necessary. I was responsible for creating a temporary plan while a location was under construction and oversee the daily operations of that location. While overseeing the temporary location, I was responsible for opening a new location (Freshens) on campus, ensure that all products, procedures and equipment were in place prior to opening. Once Freshens opened, I oversaw the daily operations of this location, including ordering, staffing, daily sales reporting, training and implementing new systems. I also took on the Food Handler Trainings for all of the students on campus. Between the months of December and February, I trained over 100 students in the fundamentals of Food Safety. I also spent time working Football and Basketball games doing Alcohol Compliance and Expediting in the Suite and Loge Kitchen. I worked directly with the Director of Retail to understand all of his duties to help me further understand my position and develop skills necessary to further my career in the future.

By following production guidelines and recipes, I prepared and served nutritious and appetizing meals for up to 80 skilled care residents. I also maintained the kitchen in accordance with all Health Code and HACCP regulations. I was also responsible for assisting my other co-workers with various tasks throughout the kitchen.

While at Grandview, I was responsible for daily operations within the kitchen. These tasks consisted of: washing dishes manually and by dishwasher and assisting in food preparation. I was responsible for accepting and storing deliveries and following daily cleaning rotations. I also assisted in the training and development of new employees and maintaining the kitchen in accordance with HACCP regulations.

Williamsport, Pennsylvania

During my time with the Crosscutters, I managed and developed a new concession area in order to ensure optimum performance and sales levels. Additionally, I conducted inventory methods of concession stands and tracked deliveries from vendors. I was also responsible for tracking and reporting nightly sales from the Food and Beverage Department by inputting inventory numbers into sales sheets.

Daily, I was responsible for managing the catering staff, consisting of 40 employees, as well as performing corrective action on staff members when required. Continually, I assisted in maintaining and ordering to par levels of food for our catered events. I performed in the best interest of the guest and budget and ensured Health and Safety standards were met.
